The 1. FC Köln has got an interesting group in the Conference League.
The Bundesliga club will face OGC Nice with coach Lucien Favre and former Bayern defender Dante, Partizan Belgrade and Czech Cup winners FC Slovacko in the main round. This was the result of the draw in Istanbul on Friday.
Cologne, seventh in the Bundesliga in the pre-season, had beaten Fehérvár FC from Hungary in the play-offs. After a 1:2 at home, the Rhinelanders won 3:0 in Hungary on Thursday. The first group match will take place on 8 September, the last on 3 November. The knockout rounds continue from February. The final will take place in Prague on 7 June 2023. The exact scheduling of the match days is to be made by Saturday at 12.00 p.m.
