SV Lippstadt have once again become active on the transfer market and have made their second winter signing.
SV Lippstadt 08 has expanded its squad for the upcoming second leg of the Regionalliga West season and brought Gerrit Kaiser back to the Bruchbaum. The Hammer native was already active for Schwarz-Rot from 2018 to 2021. RevierSport had reported a few days ago that Kaiser would return to Lippstadt. Now the official announcement of the club followed.
“I certainly don’t need to tell anyone in Lippstadt about Gerrit Kaiser. The boy is on fire for football and was always someone who led the way in his three and a half years with us. He brings mentality, commitment and, in the meantime, a lot of experience. It is not a matter of course that we at SV Lippstadt 08 can strengthen ourselves with such top-class players during the winter break, which is why I am doubly pleased that Gerrit is back with us,” said Dirk Brökelmann, SV Lippstadt’s sports director, about the returnee.
Kaiser joined SVL in January 2018 and caused a novelty when the club extended the contract of the then 24-year-old even before his first competitive game. In total, Kaiser stayed at Lippstadt for 3.5 years, transforming from a midfielder to a centre-forward in that time and scoring 25 goals in 101 competitive games.
In Ahlen, Kaiser played a subordinate role this season and only made eight appearances. In total, the native of Hammer can look back on 120 Regionalliga West games as well as 24 goals. Kaiser has also played 89 times in the Oberliga Westfalen and scored eight goals. Now, more are to follow for Lippstadt in the Regionalliga West.`
