Oberliga club VfB Hilden scored 46 goals this season. Offensive player Amin Bouzraa was directly involved in 15 of them. Forecasting spoke to him.
With 45 points after 27 games, VfB Hilden are in fifth place in the Oberliga Niederrhein. However, because last year’s runners-up have not applied for regional league status, Hilden would not be eligible for promotion, even though they are only two points behind Ratingen 04/19.
After Talha Demir, 21-year-old Amin Bouzraa is the top scorer for the Oberliga club. In 27 games, he scored ten goals and set up five others. The attacking winger was also successful twice in the Lower Rhine Cup, where he also contributed an assist. Bouzraa’s rate is particularly impressive, as he was only substituted twelve times. In total, the right winger was involved in a goal every 100 minutes in the top division.
When asked why he has often only played as a wild card recently, Bouzraa replied in the forecasting interview: “VfB Hilden is planning for the future with the squad. That’s why they rely on the players who will also be playing there next year. Hilden and I have already agreed that we won’t be going down the same path from next season onwards. Regardless of this, I will give my all for VfB Hilden until the last match day. I want to finish the season properly.”
It is therefore clear that the tricky attacking player will be looking for a new challenge for the 2024/25 season. Nevertheless – and the 21-year-old emphasizes this – Bouzraa and Hilden are not parting on bad terms:
“I learned a lot from my two coaches Tim Schneider and Henry Schmidt and enjoyed a good education at Hilden, including in the tactical area. As a result, I am now much more versatile offensively. I’m extremely grateful to the coaching team and was also able to learn a lot from the players, such as former professional Max Wagener and captain Fabian zur Linden. The move to Hilden was a very good step for me.”
Bouzraa wants to become a professional and national player
Before moving to Hilden in the summer of 2023, Bouzraa had already played for MSV Düsseldorf in the Oberliga, where he was directly involved in 23 goals in 34 games (10 goals, 13 assists). The two-footed youngster now feels ready to take the next step in his career:
“Of course I want to become a professional footballer in the future, that’s my clear goal. My dream is also to play for the Moroccan national team. Ex-professional Assani Lukimya is not an official player advisor, but he has been coaching and supporting me intensively on my path for two years. He sees the potential in me to become a professional footballer. “
Amin Bouzraa is a cousin of Yassine Bouchama. The 26-year-old Bouchama also played in the Oberliga and Landesliga until 2020, but then fought his way up from the bottom to the top and is currently a regular at Preußen Münster, third in the 3rd division. Bouzraa would also like to follow a similar path:
Of course, everyone goes their own way, but Yassine is my role model. His path has shown that you should never give up if you have a dream.
Bouzraa about his cousin Yassine Bouchama
“Yassine is a relative of mine and my role model! He always stuck with it, even though people said he wouldn’t make it. Yassine did his thing and maybe he’ll be playing in the 2nd division next season. Of course, everyone goes their own way, but Yassine is my role model. His path has shown that you should never give up if you have a dream. “
