16 games, 167 goals – Westfalia Dortmund in goal-scoring mood again – 7:2 at second-tier club

The newly formed Westfalia Dortmund team was once again in a scoring mood. They won by a landslide against the runners-up, who had no chance.

In the Kreisliga C5 Dortmund, the question of who will be promoted is no longer an issue. The only question is: When will Westfalia Dortmund have the promotion in the bag?

Theoretically, it could be as early as four or five weeks from now. Then the first stage goal – the Kreisliga B – would have been achieved. But even that should only be a stopover on the way to the upper echelons of amateur football in Westphalia.

Just how superior the club founded by Maurice Temme in 2022 is was demonstrated once again over the weekend. The game at Lüner SV III was labelled “Topspiel”, but it was as one-sided as all the Dortmund matches.

In the end, the first team won 7:2 at the second – whereby after 68 minutes the score was already 7:0. Serkan Er (own goal), Maurice Temme, Xavery Lampka, Nikola Salameh (2) and Simon Freitag (2) scored for the league giants.

who have a goal difference of 167:9 after 16 games. And this despite the fact that some opponents did not even show up, so the games were only scored 2:0 for the leaders.

The winter break proved just how serious Westfalia are. They signed two more players, presumably to be ready for the coming season.

Muhammed Yilmaz, a former Landesliga player, joined Westfalia. Most recently, the defensive player played for A-League side SG Gahmen. Antonio Maio also joined the team. The 21-year-old is celebrating a reunion with Westfalia. He came from the Landesliga team Sportfreunde Wanne-Eickel.

And a referee also came to Westfalia – a very familiar face in the influencer scene. Pascal Martin, alias “Qualle”, has switched to Westfalia and will be whistling in the Dortmund area in future.

Things are moving at all levels at Westfalia, who are even active on TikTok.
