17 scorer points in the Regionalliga! Second division club snatches up ex-Uerdinger

SV Sandhausen, a second-division football club, has made its first winter transfer. The new man comes from league rivals Hannover 96, but most recently only played in the regional league team.

At the end of November 2022, RevierSport reported that Franck Evina, who only plays in Hannover 96’s Regionalliga Nord team, has aroused great desire.

No wonder: the 22-year-old performed exceptionally well for Hannover’s U23s! 16 games, eleven goals, six assists.

According to Bild-Zeitung, several second and third division clubs were interested in Evina. Now the former KFC Uerdingen player has decided on a new assignment.

Evina is moving from Hannover 96 to SV Sandhausen at the Hardtwald. The second division club made the official announcement.

“It was important for us to sign a player with match practice in the winter. Franck has proven his ability to score goals in the second team in Hannover. He also knows the second division and so it was obvious for us to sign him. Frank was immediately convinced by the SVS project and we were able to quickly reach an agreement with his advisor and Hannover 96,” Mikayil Kabaca, SVS sporting director, is pleased about the transfer.

Evina started playing football at SV Obergessenbach in Lower Bavaria. Via SC Neuperlach, his path led to the youth team of FC Bayern Munich, with whom he became German B Juniors champion in 2017. He only briefly played for Bayern’s U19s before becoming an integral part of the second team in the Bavarian Regionalliga in the 2017/18 second half of the season.

In 2019, Evina was first loaned out to second division side Holstein Kiel before lacing up his football boots for KFC Uerdingen in the 3rd division in the 2019/20 season. After a successful season (30 appearances, five goals), Hannover 96 signed the youngster for three years. In 2022, another loan followed to FC Viktoria Berlin in the third division. Since the summer, the attacking player has been back in Hannover and was mainly used for the second team of the Lower Saxons (12 goals in 18 games).
