1860 ahead of RWE – Here’s what the penalty table looks like

The fans of traditional clubs are famous for their emotions, but also notorious. This is also shown by the penalty table of the 3rd league.

The portal “liga3-online.de” has compiled a penalty table of the 3rd league.

The table is headed by a number of traditional clubs. Just recently, VfL Osnabrück was fined around 10,000 euros for fan misconduct in the match against Rot-Weiss Essen.

However, the “leader” of the penalty table in the 2022/2023 third division season is TSV 1860 München. The club has already experienced eight incidents and a total fine of 47,300 euros in this still young season.

Behind them is promoted Rot-Weiss Essen. Some of the RWE fans have already attracted negative attention in four games. As a consequence, those responsible had to transfer 25,000 euros to the DFB (German Football Association) in this series.

Behind 1860 and RWE come clubs such as Hallescher FC (five incidents, 19,900 euros), Waldhof Mannheim (two incidents, 17,300 euros), 1. FC Saarbrücken (three incidents, 14,700 euros) and VfL Osnabrück (four incidents, 11,950 euros).

3rd league: Five clubs so far without any fines

Following: Borussia Dortmund II (two incidents, 9800 euros), SC Freiburg II (one incident, 8400 euros), MSV Duisburg (three incidents, 7650 euros), FC Ingolstadt (two incidents, 5600 euros), SV Meppen (two incidents, 5000 euros), Dynamo Dresden (two incidents, 2600 euros), Erzgebirge Aue (two incidents, 2450 euros), VfB Oldenburg (one incident, 2250 euros) and SC Verl (one incident, 350 euros).

The most exemplary fans so far are the clubs of Viktoria Köln, FSV Zwickau, SV Wehen Wiesbaden, Spielvereinigung Bayreuth and frontrunners Spielvereinigung Elversberg. These five clubs have not yet had to transfer a single euro to the DFB’s bank account this season.
