Swiss Maurizio Jacobacci will continue to coach third-division soccer club 1860 Munich in the coming season.
The 60-year-old accepted a corresponding contract offer from the Löwen. “I have already emphasized several times how comfortable I feel in Munich and that I very much enjoy working as the coach of TSV 1860 Munich,” Jacobacci said.
Jacobacci had taken over in February. At the time, he had himself applied to the 1966 German champions, “because a coaching position at a traditional German club is a challenge that appeals to me,” as he said at the time.
The coach holds both Swiss and Italian citizenship. Currently, 1860 is in ninth place in the table.
