Mehmet Aydin is about to leave Schalke 04, another player is already gone.
The massive squad restructuring at FC Schalke continues. Now the 22nd player has departed. Florian Flick, who was last bereoits loaned to 1. FC Nürnberg, joins the club permanently.
The parties involved agreed not to disclose the modalities of the switch. “Florian has used the half year in Nuremberg to gain playing experience and to develop further. As the competitive situation in our central midfield is still great, we looked for and found a solution together,” said André Hechelmann, Sports Director of FC Schalke 04. “Florian will always have a special place in the hearts of all Schalke players as part of the promotion team. We wish him all the best for the sporting and private future in Nuremberg.”
Flick made 27 appearances for FC Schalke 04 in the 2nd Bundesliga and twelve in the Bundesliga. With Mehmet Can Aydin, the 23rd player is already on the verge of a transfer, the loan to Turkish top club Trabzonspor is expected to become official shortly.
