Arminia Bielefeld is giving its goalkeeping legend Fabian Klos a worthy send-off during the international break. There are some familiar names, including from VfL Bochum.
Fabian Klos has become a legend at Arminia Bielefeld, and the record player, record scorer and honorary captain of the third division soccer team is now receiving his farewell game with the East Westphalia team. As the club already announced at the beginning of September, Klos will take to the field for his “last dance” at the Schüco Arena on October 12 and celebrate his farewell with old teammates in his stadium.
“Over the past 13 years, I have gained so many impressions, experienced so many emotions and celebrated so many successes. Now I am looking forward to bringing it all to a fitting close with my former teammates,” said the 36-year-old, who played 461 competitive matches for Arminia between 2011 and 2024, scoring 180 goals. Klos announced his retirement this summer.
Two teams will face off in his farewell game: Team “Bundesliga and Friends” against Team “Aufstiegshelden”. There are some well-known names among them.
