The ASV Süchteln has announced a real coup. A goal-scoring left winger joins the team from the Oberliga.
ASV Einigkeit Süchteln can look forward to Leon Falter in the upcoming national league season. The 23-year-old native of Grefrath comes from the Oberliga Niederrhein club SC Union Nettetal.
After three years with Union, Falter has come to the end of his career. On the pitch, he mainly plays as a left winger, but can also play in left midfield and in the center of attack.
It is a return to his former club for Falter. The 23-year-old trained at Union Nettetal, as well as at Krefeld club VfR Fischeln. His third youth club was ASV Süchteln, from whose U19s he made the leap to the men’s team in the summer of 2020. He stayed in the national league for six months (ten games in total, eight goals) before moving to Nettetal.
In three years, Falter made 90 appearances in the Oberliga Niederrhein, with ten games coming in the corona-related final round. Falter scored an impressive total of 34 goals.
Another duo has already signed
In addition to Falter, ASV Einigkeit Süchteln has already brought in two other players from outside the club. Metin Türkay, also a left winger, is one of them. He comes from 1. FC Viersen, who played with Süchteln in the Landesliga Niederrhein 1 last season.
Türkay, 25 years old and 1.89 meters tall, was a regular starter there. He was on the pitch 31 times, scoring four goals. He is also returning to his former club, having already played for Süchteln in the 2019/20 season.
ASV Einigkeit has also secured the services of Torben Esser. Esser comes from VSF Amern, another of last year’s rivals, and is a 27-year-old defender. Like Türkay, he was a regular starter and played 34 Landesliga games (one goal) for Amern.
For him, however, Süchteln is new territory, unlike the Türkay/Falter duo. Esser joined Amern from Fortuna Dilkrath in the summer of 2021. So now another change of scenery for the 27-year-old
