Nine players in the Regionalliga West have not missed a single minute before the winter break.
It’s the break in the Regionalliga West and even though the clubs don’t all have the same number of games under their belt due to different circumstances, it’s time for a look at the statistics. These nine players have not missed a minute for their respective teams in the Hinrunde.
Eight of the 18 teams have already played 20 games. Among these teams, there are no less than five perennial favourites who have not missed a minute for their club:
Michel Lieder – Centre-back – Borussia Mönchengladbach U23
At 26, the captain of Borussia Mönchengladbach’s U23 is one of the veterans in the team. Lieder did not miss any of the 1,800 minutes at the surprising second of the table and scored two goals.
Robert Jendrusch – Goalkeeper – 1. FC Kaan-Marienborn
The second player on this list also plays for one of the positive surprises this season. Jendrusch has helped 1. FC Kaan-Marienborn to a strong fourth place as the number one seed. In 20 games, he conceded only 27 goals and kept four to nil.
Julian Schauerte – Right-back – 1. FC Kaan-Marienborn
Schauerte came from Preußen Münster in the summer and was supposed to help Kaan-Marienborn with his experience. The plan worked. The 34-year-old always plays and could already contribute one goal and one assist.
Tim Böhmer – Centre-back – SC Wiedenbrück
Tim Böhmer is just 20 years old, but it is hard to imagine SC Wiedenbrück’s central defence without him. He, too, did not miss a minute of the first half of the season.
Julius Paris – Goalkeeper – SV Straelen
It’s not easy to be a goalkeeper at the bottom of the league. But Julius Paris, who is also only 20 years old, is still the clear number one at SV Straelen and proof that the SVS’s offensive is the main problem. Paris has already scored five times this season.
Another eight teams have already played 19 games. However, only one player in this group has played the maximum 1,710 minutes:
Daniel Flottmann – centre-back (37) – SV Rödinghausen
Flottmann may be the oldest player in this list, but he is still the most reliable player for Rödinghausen. The captain played in 37 of 38 games last year. This season he has not missed a single minute.
Since the match between 1. FC Bocholt and Fortuna Köln could not take place, both teams stand at 18 games. Three players come to 1,620 minutes:
Lars Lokotsch – Striker – SC Fortuna Köln
Lokotsch is the clear regular in the Cologne forward line. He has already scored nine goals in 18 games this year.
Andre Weis – Goalkeeper – SC Fortuna Köln
Fortuna goalkeeper Andre Weis has also always been on the pitch so far. The captain has conceded 26 goals and has gone four without conceding a goal.
Sebastian Wickl – Goalkeeper – 1. FC Bocholt
Bocholt keeper Sebastian Wickl has also not missed a minute. The 31-year-old has also kept four nil, but conceded 40 goals with the promoted side.
