Third-division football club Dynamo Dresden has confirmed the amount of damages it will pay after the riot at the game at SpVgg Bayreuth.

A spokesman told Deutsche Presse-Agentur on Friday that they would pay a total of 31,300 euros. “Since the damage list reached us very late, we have not yet been able to pay the entire amount. However, a large part of the payment has already been arranged and the rest will follow as soon as possible,” the spokesperson said. On Thursday, the “Nordbayerischer Kurier” had already reported on the amount of the sum, citing a list of damages from the city of Bayreuth.

During the match on 1 October, there had been riots in the Dresden block, including with the police. Afterwards, the commercial manager Jürgen Wehlend described the destruction caused by some Dynamo supporters, who were also on a special train, as “sheer anarchy”. 14 people were injured.

In addition to paying damages to the city of Bayreuth, Dynamo faces further financial compensation. For example, Wehlend put the property damage in a demolished special train at “more than 50,000 euros”.
