Test match coup in training camp – ex-striker trains with rivals

Alemannia Aachen have won their second test match in the Turkey training camp. Meanwhile, an ex-striker introduces himself to a regional league rival.

Alemannia Aachen are currently preparing for the second half of the Regionalliga West season in Belek, Turkey. In the second test match of the training camp, the traditional club achieved a small success on Thursday. The Aacheners defeated the Polish first division team Radomiak Radom 2:1 (1:1).

Dino Bajric scored on Jannik Mause’s assist to give the team the lead (26th) against the tenth-placed team in the Ekstraklasa. After the Poles equalised (Dominik Sokol/36th), the score went into half-time at 1-1. A quarter of an hour after the restart, Elsamed Ramaj scored the winning goal and made it 2-1 (58).

Bitterly, however, Felix Heim had to be substituted shortly after half-time. The offensive player had apparently injured his thigh during a sprint. Alemannia has not yet given any further details.

For head coach Helge Hohl’s team, it was the first win in the second test match in Turkey. On Monday, Aachen drew 1-1 with 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig, the seventh-placed team in the Regionalliga Nordost. Before returning to the border triangle, a third match is scheduled. On Friday evening, TSV will face the Polish first division team Gornik Zabrze.
