Halle FC has once again reacted on the transfer market and strengthened its offensive with a lot of experience.
0:0 at Rot-Weiss Essen and 2:3 against SV Wehen Wiesbaden: Those responsible at Hallesche FC had imagined a completely different start to the 2023 season. Now the relegation-threatened HFC is once again reacting to the sporting misery with personnel changes.
Hallesche FC used the still-open transfer window to sign another attacking player and complete its squad for the second half of the season. Nik Omladic signed a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season on Friday – 27 January 2023 – which will be automatically extended by one year until 30 June 2024 if the club from Saxony-Anhalt stays in the league.
The 33-year-old looks back on almost 100 second division games and three stations in Germany, most recently playing in his Slovenian homeland.
“With Nik Omladic, we were able to win an excellent footballer for HFC, who can fill various positions, has proven individual class and brings a lot of experience. He should help us to achieve the goals we have set ourselves,” explained Halle’s sports director Ralf Minge. The Slovenian with the strong left foot will train with the team for the first time on Friday afternoon, but is not yet expected to play on Saturday against FSV Zwickau.
Omladic played 98 games in the 2nd Bundesliga and 57 games in the 3rd Liga for SpVgg. Greuther Fürth, Eintracht Braunschweig and F.C. Hansa Rostock. In Slovenia’s highest division, he wore the jersey of Olimpija Ljubljana 145 times.
For Halle, which is currently in a relegation spot, it is imperative to score points in the next games against Zwickau, Dynamo Dresden and Freiburg II. Omladic should help with that, of course.
