Fortuna Düsseldorf has found new NLZ director – comes from DFB

Fortuna Düsseldorf has found a new director for its NLZ. He comes from the DFB.

Second division football club Fortuna Düsseldorf has found a new director for its youth development centre (NLZ). Dominik Roll will take over the administrative management of the NLZ. He took up his post on 1 February, the state capital announced on Tuesday.

Roll succeeds Till Mester, who, according to the club, has gone on parental leave for a longer period of time. Roll comes to Fortuna from the German Football Association (DFB). The 32-year-old has worked for the federation since 2016 and was most recently head of staff for national team management. Before that, he worked for two years at VfL Wolfsburg as assistant to the sports director.
