While Wiesbaden mourns the lost three-pointer, MSV Duisburg celebrates a hugely important point in the bottom of the table. The point and the weakening chasers extended Duisburg’s lead over the first relegation spot to seven points.

After the equalizer on a penalty kick in the 90th minute, things got wild again on the field. Both teams wanted the winning goal in the final minutes, but no one could reward themselves.

“In the end, you could see that the guys wanted to win the game, which made the last minutes very wild. This is not always wise and we can be happy not to have lost the point again. In the end, we have to and can live with the point,” Ziegner agreed with the draw.
