Preußen Münster – Coach has changes in mind and warns against goal machine Platzek

SC Preußen Münster is where it wants to be in the end. First place in the table, and that’s how it should be after the home game against 1. FC Bocholt.

There is no question that SC Preußen Münster deserved to be promoted to the 3rd Division last year. Just like Rot-Weiss Essen, SCP had a great series.

And despite a major upheaval in the summer, coach Sascha Hildmann’s team is on the right track again. After a 4:1 win against Wattenscheid 09, they won 1:0 at SC Wiedenbrück. Münster are now unbeaten in 15 Regionalliga games this season.

And the trend is set to continue on Friday (19:30) when they take on the promoted side from Bocholt, who are still struggling to find their feet in the new league after two defeats to start with.

They have a robust squad and, in Marcel Platzek, a striker who has single-handedly shot the Oberliga together.

Despite this, Hildmann warns against 1. FC Bocholt: “We have seen Bocholt twice. They have a playful approach, haven’t lost a game in the Oberliga for a year. Now they have started with two defeats. They have a robust team and, with Marcel Platzek, a striker who has shot the Oberliga together on his own.”

Therefore, it is especially important to eliminate the former RWE player. With which personnel that will happen, that has not yet been decided. Certain changes are to be expected, as Hildmann explained, who can also include Yassine Bouchama and Nicolai Remberg after minor ailments: “Everyone wants to play, we notice that. I have to talk to the boys a lot to make sure they don’t let themselves down. But they are very understanding and that’s the only way. That’s the way to go, in the service of the team. On one or two positions we will probably change something on Friday and reward guys who also deserve to play.”

And if the starting eleven is as excited about the game as Hildmann is, then the SCP should live up to their role as favourites, with the coach saying ahead of the 90 minutes, “Friday night, Hammer Straße – What could be better? I’m totally looking forward to it. “
