Next player gone on a free transfer – Stindl goes to the 2. league

Borussia Mönchengladbach will lose at least three players on loan at the end of the season. One already has a new club.

After Ramy Bensebaini and Marcus Thuram, Lars Stindl will also leave Bundesliga soccer team Borussia Mönchengladbach for free at the end of the season.

The veteran has now signed with his new club. And as already thought, the 34-year-old is heading back home, where he signed a contract for the coming season with second-division club Karlsruher SC.

Thus, the offensive player returns after 13 years to the club, where he also made his first steps in the professional field. Accordingly, the player’s joy was great: “I’m very happy to come back home with my family and to play for KSC again after my time at Borussia Mönchengladbach, the club where it all started!”

Michael Becker, Managing Director of KSC, added: “The signing of Lars Stindl shows that we are fully operationally capable within the framework of the recently established Taskforce Sport. We would like to thank Lars in particular for the financial concession. Without this, a commitment within the framework of our planned squad structure would not have been possible. With him, we have gained an exceptional player and another great figure of identification. Together with him, we are already looking forward to the new season in the then completed Wildpark. “

With Lars Stindl, we are signing an outstanding soccer player who has shown his class over many years in the Bundesliga and also at international level.

And Christian Eichner, KSC head coach, is also looking forward to the concentrated portion of routine that he can now welcome to his team: “With Lars Stindl, we are signing an outstanding footballer who has shown his class over the years in the Bundesliga and also at international level. We are getting a player who is versatile in the offense and will help us enormously with his class. As head coach, it’s great to have such a player in the squad in the future. “
