I’m hoping that I’ll hear in the next two weeks how my future is seen at this club. Everyone knows that I feel happy here. For me, it’s not about whether it will be the 1st or 2nd Bundesliga. For me, things like the length of the contract are important. I will take such things into consideration when it comes to my future,” Kaminski said in an interview with “Kanal Sportowy” editor Mateusz Borek.

Recently, the Polish media had also mentioned a return to Kaminski’s former club Lech Poznan. The Polish international made 208 appearances for Lech and is currently making 40 appearances for Schalke.

Kaminski said weeks ago about the Posen rumour: “Posen will always be an important place for me. I also watch Lech games when time allows me to. I spent many years at Lech and owe a lot to the club. They are playing a super European Cup season. I don’t want to rule anything out. But the current situation is that I want to stay at Schalke. We’ll see where I play in the new season. In any case, it will be a place where I am happy. At the moment, I don’t want to get involved in any speculation.
