Bit of a belly-flop – Infanta Sofia (16) at Real Madrid’s cup celebrations

Side by side with her father King Felipe of Spain, Infanta Sofia – sister of heir to the throne Leonor – attended Real Madrid’s cup win and caught the eyes of the crowd.

On Saturday evening, Real Madrid won 2-1 against CA Osasuna at the Olympic Stadium in Seville. Both goals for Madrid were scored by Rodrygo, the goal for Osasuna was scored by Lucas Torro . This was the first time since 2014 that the royals had won the Copa del Rey title.

And of course, King Felipe – who, together with his wife Letitzia, had attended the coronation of Charles III in London at noon – was not to be absent from the celebration. But it was above all the King’s younger daughter who attracted the attention of the audience: Infanta Sofia – the sister of heir to the throne Leonor – is now 16 years old. She wore a green-patterned blouse and white trousers – at times a little skin was visible in between.

And the teenager was visibly in a good mood.

Before, Sofia was almost always seen alongside her older sister Leonor at official appearances. After the summer, the younger royal daughter will study at the elite boarding school Atlantic College – also known as St. Donat’s Castle – near Cardiff in Wales, as her older sister already does.

Currently, coach Carlo Ancelotti’s side are 13 points behind leaders Barcelona in the Spanish league.

For German Toni Kroos, who has played for Real since summer 2014, it was the first Copa del Rey celebration, but already the 20th triumph for the club. However, FC Barcelona remains the record champion with 31 cup titles.

On Tuesday evening, Real Madrid will play Manchester City in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
