Rödinghausen wins in Cologne – Aachen still winless

In the first Friday matches of the Regionalliga West, SV Rödinghausen prevailed 2-0 at Fortuna Köln. Fortuna Düsseldorf II and Alemannia Aachen drew 1-1.

Fortuna Cologne – SV Rödinghausen 0:2

SV Rödinghausen showed a strong reaction to their 2-0 DFB Cup exit against TSG Hoffenheim, beating Fortuna Köln 2-0 away from home. Vincent Schaub gave the visitors the lead after just three minutes. Julian Wolff increased the lead to 2:0 after 33 minutes and it was the preliminary decision, as no further goals were scored in the second half.

The Cologne team, which was a candidate for promotion for a long time last year, has only one point on its account after three games. SV Rödinghausen, on the other hand, have the maximum of six points after two matchdays and are in second place in the Regionalliga West behind Preußen Münster (one match more).

Fortuna Düsseldorf II – Alemannia Aachen 1:1

Alemannia Aachen remain winless on the third matchday of the Regionalliga West. The Kaiserstadt side had to settle for a 1-1 draw away to Fortuna Düsseldorf II. At least, some Aachen fans will think, because Soufiane El-Faouzi put the home side 1:0 in front after only three minutes. But Jannik Mause equalised shortly before the break to make it 1-1 (45th).

No further goals followed in this match either. It remained 1-1. Alemannia Aachen has two points after three matchdays, Fortuna Düsseldorf increases to four.

At 19:30, SC Preußen Münster and 1. FC Bocholt completed the Friday matches of the third matchday. Click here for the ticker
