The VfB Homberg is making a big change to its squad. Now, addition number ten has been found.
On 8 July, Stefan Janßen, coach of the Niederrhein-Oberliga club VfB Homberg, told Forecasting after the 1:2 in the test against TuS Bövinghausen: “We still have three positions to fill. We are looking for a centre-forward, a centre-back and a left-back. It’s a bit annoying that we still have to fill these important positions. That’s where we have to look to make it work.”
The attacker has now been found, as Nabil Jaouadi moves to Homberg from Oberliga rivals Ratingen 04/19. The 27-year-old attacking player has Tunisian roots and was trained in the youth of 1. FC Mönchengladbach. He gained his first experience at senior level with Ratingen and then played for Landesliga club MSV Düsseldorf.
Jaouadi has played 58 Oberliga games in his career so far (13 goals). This means that a centre-back and a left-back are now on VfB’s wanted list. And then the big upheaval will be complete, after Homberg were almost relegated from the Oberliga last year.
