The 3rd league starts in a few days. We have ventured a look at the transfers made.

On Friday, the 3rd League kicks off at 7 p.m. with Hallescher FC’s match against Rot-Weiss Essen. In the run-up to the match, transfer fees were also paid in the 3rd League. Here is an overview of the most important transfers.

Three players transferred to the Bundesliga

Robin Hack moved to Gladbach for €1.1 million from third-division relegated Arminia Bielefeld.

Masaya Okugawa moved from Arminia Bielfefeld to FC Augsburg and Regensburg’s Benedikt Gimber to 1. FC Heidenheim for no transfer fee.

Six players transferred for a fee of €500,000 or more

Leandro Morgalla, who moved from 1860 Munich to RB Salzburg for around €1.8 million, leads the way in terms of transfer fees. Robin Hack (Bielefeld) was worth €1.1 million to Gladbach. Jayden Braaf (BVB II) moved to Hellas Verona for one million euros. Another million euros went to FC Ingolstadt for Tobias Bech – Bech now plays for Aarhus GF.

Yannik Engelhardt left SC Freiburg II to join Fortuna Düsseldorf for €600,000. Julian Hettwer moved within the 3rd division from MSV Duisburg to BVB II for 500,000 euros.

Only RWE paid a transfer fee three times

A total of 16 transfer fees were paid for additions and departures in the 3rd League. Rot-Weiss Essen was involved three times. Around 100,000 euros had to be paid to FC Augsburg to sign Felix Götze on a permanent basis, as contractually agreed, after the club had managed to stay in the league. Around 40,000 euros were paid for Verl’s Vinko Sapina and striker Leonardo Vonic came from 1. FC Nürnberg II for around 90,000 euros.

These are the new stars of the league

Alessio Besio, who moved from FC St. Gallen to SC Freiburg II and is one of the most valuable attackers in the league with a market value of 800,000 euros. Simon Lorenz, head of defense at Holstein Kiel, joined FC Ingolstadt in the summer. Dennis Diekmeier, captain of SV Sandhausen, and Rouwen Hennings, who moved to Sandhausen from Fortuna Düsseldorf. SVS also acquired Alexander Mühling, a regular player from second-division club Holstein Kiel.

Manuel Wintzheimer, the former HSV striker moved from Nuremberg to Arminia Bielefeld. Here he will storm alongside Fabian Klos, Arminia’s cult attacker. In addition to the veterans, the league can look forward to many new talents who want to take the next step here. Julian Hettwer, whom BVB II signed from MSV, is just one example.
