Favourites win – Bövinghausen and Lotte go ahead

In the Oberliga Westfalen the favourites did not show any weakness on Saturday.

The 6th matchday in the Oberliga Westfalen opened with two games on Saturday afternoon. The two favoured teams emerged victorious and put the competition under pressure.

TuS Bövinghausen kicked off with an away game at Victoria Clarholz. Victoria had started the season with four points and finds itself in the bottom of the table, TuS had the opportunity to advance in comparison with the rest of the top group. Five teams went into the matchday with ten points each.

And the Dortmund side, who won the match at Clarholz 3-0 (1-0), made the most of the opportunity. In the first half, André Dej made it 1:0 for TuS, after the change of ends Markus Baum was shown the yellow card (54th) and Gordon Wild added the 2:0 (76th). In the final phase, Bubakarry Fadika made everything clear (90th), before Victoria player Julian Linnemann had also been sent off with a straight red card (88th).

TuS remains unbeaten since the opening defeat against ASC Dortmund. This is what coach Christian Knappmann had to say about his team’s run.

Lotte with double strike in half-time

Later, the league leaders also intervened and wanted to defend their place in the sun. And just like Bövinghausen, Sportfreunde Lotte did their homework.

At SG Finnentrop-Bamenohl, the Sportfreunde scored a 5:1 (2:0) victory, which was quite unproblematic for long stretches, and passed TuS Bövinghausen again in the temporary table.

A double strike by Burinyuy Nyuydine (23rd) and Marc Heider (26th) put the favourites on the winning track in the first half, and Max Ritter increased the lead to 3:0 in the second half (55th). The hosts at least managed to score a consolation goal in front of around 250 spectators: Phillip Hennes scored the interim 1:3 (71) via a hand penalty. The final goal was scored by Tolga Özdemir in the 81st and 88th minute.

For the SG Finnentrop-Bamenohl, the wait for their second win after the opening game at SG Wattenscheid thus continues. Lotte will go into Sunday’s game as league leaders with at least 13 points after the win.
