In the Oberliga-Liederrhein duel of the 2nd round of the Niederrheinpokal, 1st FC Monheim prevailed against VfB Homberg.
Despite the equaliser in the last minute of extra time, VfB had to mourn at the end. In the penalty shoot-out, Felix Hohmann’s nerves failed him. His miss was the decisive one, so that in the end Monheim won 7:6 after the penalty shoot-out. They converted all five attempts from the spot – see match statistics.
