The second round of the DFB Cup will be drawn live on Sunday (October 1) at 7:10 p.m. on Sportschau. We tick from the draw.

In the 2nd round, the DFB will pay out 431,200 euros to the 32 clubs. In addition, the DFB will receive ten percent of the spectator revenue. The other 90 percent is shared between the two clubs. Those that reach the round of 16 can already expect to receive €862,400 from the DFB. In the quarterfinals, it is 1,724,800 euros and in the semifinals 3,449,600 euros.

Most recently, Bayern Munich (in Münster) and RB Leipzig (in Wehen) also qualified for the 2nd round. From the Ruhr region, VfL Bochum (against Arminia Bielefeld) and Rot-Weiss Essen (against Hamburger SV) were eliminated in the first round.

Pot two consists of: 1. FC Saarbrücken, Viktoria Köln, Arminia Bielefeld, SpVgg Unterhaching, FC Homburg, SV Sandhausen.

Pot one consists of: Borussia Mönchengladbach, FC Schalke 04, VfB Stuttgart, Hertha BSC, FC St. Pauli, Borussia Dortmund Bayer Leverkusen, Holstein Kiel, 1. FC Nürnberg, Greuther Fürth, 1. FSV Mainz 05, 1. FC Heidenheim, Hamburger SV, Fortuna Düsseldorf, VfL Wolfsburg, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, Eintracht Frankfurt, SC Freiburg, SC Paderborn, 1. FC Union Berlin, Hansa Rostock, 1. FC Magdeburg, 1899 Hoffenheim, 1. FC Köln, FC Bayern München, RB Leipzig

There will be two lottery pots. The six teams from pot two will definitely have home rights.

The winner of the DFB Cup will be eligible for the Europa League.

Final in Berlin: May 25, 2024
