“Used day” – “We got a rub”.

Rot-Weiss Essen has come down to earth in the 3rd division after the win against leaders Dynamo Dresden. This is what the coach says about the 0:4.

Everything went right for Rot-Weiss Essen in the 3:1 win against leaders Dynamo Dresden. On Wednesday, with the 0:4 at SpVgg Unterhaching, nothing went for RWE.

In principle, the duel at the promoted team was a double of the last away game, where RWE lost 1:2 at SSV Ulm 1846. Before the break, little went forward, at the back, the Essen team made two mistakes – things only got better after the break – when the match was almost lost.

The difference to the Ulm game was that things got really tough at the end. That’s why RWE coach Christoph Dabrowski summed it up succinctly: “We got a 0:4 rub.”

Especially the way RWE defended made the coach angry, as he told “MagentaSport”: “When you see how easily and negligently we concede you goals, it’s going to be hard to take anything away. It’s totally annoying, because we were prepared for the fact that Haching can come with simple means to goals.”

Whereas you can also make up for a 0:2, so Dabrowski wanted “a quick connection.” Which was also possible, but then there was the fourth goal conceded by RWE after the last man lost the ball carelessly.

Three goals were conceded against Halle (Thomas Eisfeld) and HSV (Felix Bastians and José-Enrique Ríos Alonso), and this time it was Lucas Brumme who was responsible for the 0:3.

Dabrowski: “At the break, we set out to quickly close the gap. But we have then again an individual thing in it. You don’t have to analyze much afterwards, it was simply a used day. It’s good that we have the next game in three days. We have to do better quickly and the team can do better.
