District league club lands coup – 284-time regional league player arrives

A club from Bezirksliga Westfalen 13 has announced a top-class new signing. An experienced regional league player is coming.

Kevin Kahlert has played almost 300 games in the regional league. After the winter break, the 34-year-old defensive player will play in the district league. He will move to TuS Schwarz-Gelb Oestinghausen. The club from the Soest district made the announcement shortly after Christmas.

TuS are in second place in season 13 of the Bezirksliga Westfalen, eight points behind the top of the table and have played one game more than leaders Hövelhofer SV. But their ambitions are high – as shown not least by the signing of Kahlert.

“With Kevin, we’re gaining the necessary experience, especially in defense, which will certainly give us more stability in tight games,” said player and squad planner Moritz Pipers, delighted with the transfer coup. “Kevin’s approach on the pitch in particular will help our talented young players to resolve tricky situations and develop even faster.”

Kahlert comes from the youth ranks of VfL Wolfsburg and subsequently played for many years in the north-east and north seasons of the regional league for clubs such as TSG Neustrelitz, Viktoria Berlin and Berliner AK.

At the end of 2020, he moved to Rot Weiss Ahlen in the Regionalliga West. There, the veteran wore the captain’s armband until his departure at the end of last season. In total, he gained the experience of 284 fourth division games. Since the summer, Kahlert has played for A-league club TuS Uentrop. Now he will continue in the district league.

Dominic Möller, who joined Oestinghausen as sporting director a few weeks ago and is good friends with Kahlert, was partly responsible for the move. “I’m looking forward to the new challenge, especially because Oestinghausen has huge potential. There was also no doubt about the project in Oestinghausen, as I want to continue working with Dominic and we think alike,” said Kahlert, explaining his move.

will get approval as soon as January and could lead to a flood of capital into the Bitcoin and wider digital asset markets.
