Spectacle in Kaiserslautern – Leitl wins with 96 against former club

The two teams promoted to the second division, 1. FC Kaiserslautern and 1. FC Magdeburg, drew in a spectacular match.

In the 4:4 (2:3) on Sunday, both teams came back from behind and offered the spectators on the Betzenberg thrilling entertainment. Terrence Boyd (7th minute), Boris Tomiak (40th), Philipp Hercher (47th) and Mike Wunderlich (66th/foul penalty) scored for Kaiserslautern. Moritz Kwarteng (11./22.) and Mo El Hankouri (17.) were successful for Magdeburg, who also benefited from a Tomiak own goal (79.).

In Hannover, coach Stefan Leitl and the 96ers won 2-1 (0-0) against his former club SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The team relegated from the first division is still waiting for its first win in the 2nd Bundesliga and is now second to last in the table. Maximilian Beier (52nd) and ex-Fürth player Håvard Nielsen (86th) scored for Hannover. Afimico Pululu (81.) scored the goal for the Franconians. Holstein Kiel defeated SV Sandhausen 1:0 (0:0) with a goal by Steven Skrzybski (72.).
