Wuppertaler SV has made an important personnel decision. The regional league club introduced a new head of marketing.
It was at the beginning of February when Wuppertaler SV advertised to the public that the regional league club was looking for a new head of marketing and sales. The application process went well and WSV has now been able to present a final result.
Marvin Klotzkowsky will return to his old place of work from 1 March 2024 and will further professionalize and drive forward the main areas of marketing and sponsorship/sales. This was officially announced by WSV.
Klotzkowsky was previously managing director at former third-division club FSV Zwickau and worked in the marketing team at Bayer Leverkusen. Between 2017 and 2019, he already worked as a sales representative at Wuppertaler SV.
“First of all, I would like to thank both the Board of Directors and the Executive Board of Wuppertaler SV for their trust and appreciation. The potential is huge and we all know about the tradition. It is special because many people carry Wuppertaler SV in their hearts. I know that approachability, transparency and loyalty are important attributes in order to appeal to and involve everyone in the city of Wuppertal and the Bergisch region. “I am all the more looking forward to the colors red and blue, the traditional and incomparable stadium at the zoo and all the supporters and sponsors of Wuppertaler SV,” explained Klotzkowsky.
Because of his résumé and his regional ties, Marvin Klotzkowsky fully meets the requirements profile.
Thomas Richter
WSV board member Thomas Richter is also happy that WSV has found a suitable successor for ex-professional Daniel Grebe.
Richter said in an official statement: “After Daniel Grebe informed us at the end of last year that he was making a career change, we gave a lot of thought to the succession plan for this area. Marvin Klotzkowsky’s background and regional ties mean that he fully meets the requirements profile. The experience that Marvin was able to gain during his last activities will definitely benefit us in the further development of the club. I look forward to a constructive collaboration and welcome Marvin to his new (old) place of work.”
In sporting terms, Wuppertaler SV, who recently lost at FC Wegberg-Beeck and are in fourth place – ten points behind leaders Alemannia Aachen – continue their campaign on Sunday against the second team of second division club SC Paderborn
