Borussia Mönchengladbach’s second team will host SC Wiedenbrück on Saturday, March 16 at 2 p.m.

After two wins in a row, the reserves of Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach are now looking to go one better against SC Wiedenbrück – Saturday, March 16, 2 p.m. The third three in a row is to follow.

“After the two wins, the boys are more relaxed. Accordingly, the sessions so far have been really good. That was definitely a chest-release. Every win just feels good and is confirmation for us,” says Eugen Polanski, Gladbach coach.

In the same breath, however, he also makes it clear that the victories don’t come out of nowhere. “We have steadily improved in recent training sessions. And our winter preparation was also good. That’s why I think the victories are a result of our good training performances and not the other way around,” Polanski emphasizes.

The young foals won the first leg in Rheda-Wiedenbrück 3:1. In the current form table, however, the visitors from East Westphalia are in joint first place with Alemannia Aachen with four wins and one draw.

Polanski praised Gladbach’s next opponents: “Wiedenbrück are in impressive form. And that’s despite the fact that they haven’t changed much from the first half of the season, but have simply implemented their concept better. Accordingly, they are in a flow, are well-rehearsed and will definitely be a tough nut to crack. But we also want to continue our streak and pick up where we left off in the last few games. We will therefore go into the game with the necessary confidence and try to make it a success.”

In terms of personnel, Polanski will be able to call on Julian Korb and Tony Reitz again at the weekend. Both were able to take part in training again this week. In addition to the injured Mika Schroers, only Michel Lieder, who is suspended, will be missing
