After coach – trio from the coaching staff stay with RWE, one leaves

Rot-Weiss Essen has extended contracts with three members of the coaching staff.

Rot-Weiss Essen continues to focus on continuity. After coach Christoph Dabrowski had already extended his contract at RWE, he has now been joined by three more members of the coaching staff ahead of the derby against MSV Duisburg on Sunday (4:30pm).

Dabrowski’s assistants Lars Fleischer and Paul Freier as well as video analyst Aaron Beißwenger will remain at Hafenstraße. Goalkeeping coach Manuel Lenz, physiotherapist Alexander Dolls and team coach Andreas Ganzinger will remain at Hafenstrasse for the rest of the season anyway.

The only departure in the summer: athletics coach Tobias Schmidt will leave RWE to begin his studies after the current season

“It is important to us to focus on continuity and we are firmly convinced that this will pay off in the end. After agreeing an extension with Christoph Dabrowski, we quickly began talks with Paul Freier, Aaron Beißwenger and, above all, Lars Fleischer, who is now entering his seventh season as assistant coach. Our coaching team works together very closely and professionally, but also harmonizes very well on a personal level. That’s why we’re delighted that we’ve been able to convince the three of them of our path and that we’ll continue in the same proven constellation next season,” says Christian Flüthmann, sports director of Rot-Weiss Essen.

Dabrowski is also pleased to welcome familiar faces for the new season: “I’m delighted that I can continue to count on my coaching colleagues. Lars, ‘Slawo’ and Aaron are very hard-working and meticulous, drive training planning and management forward, contribute lots of ideas and therefore play a significant role in our positive development. Together with Manuel Lenz, Alexander Dolls and Andreas Ganzinger, we form a harmonious unit that goes full throttle every day to be successful. “
