One central defender is still missing. Erdal Celik, technical director, and Heiner Backhaus, coach of Alemannia, have come across a man who recently played twelve games in the Belgian first division in their search for a central defender.

We are talking about: Christalino Atemona. The 22-year-old 1.87-metre defender has been in Aachen since Monday, July 8, and was most recently under contract with KV Kortrijk.

Before moving to Belgium in January 2023, he only played in Berlin. He was trained at Reinickendorfer Füchse and from 2014 to 2023 at Hertha BSC.

Alemannia Aachen: Friday against VfL Bochum instead of Borussia Dortmund

The final details of Alemannia’s summer preparations have almost been finalized. A test match opponent has been found for July 20, an additional test match will take place on July 28, and a kick-off time has also been changed.

The two clubs will miss each other again in the league in the new season, but will now get to know each other in a test match: On Saturday, July 20, Alemannia will play against Regionalliga promoted Eintracht Hohkeppel at 2 pm.

The match will be played at the Sportpark am See in Eschweiler. The test comes a week after the intensive weekend with matches against VfL Bochum and Eintracht Trier and a week before the test match against our Dutch friends from Roda Kerkrade. Speaking of which, there’s another change to report: Kick-off time at the Parkstad Limburg stadium on July 27 will be at 4:30 p.m. instead of 4 p.m.

Alemannia will also be testing against TuS Koblenz on Sunday, July 28, at 2 pm. The match will be played at the BOMAG Stadium in Boppard.
