And again no victory: Arminia Bielefeld conceded the fourth defeat in a row with a 2-0 defeat at league leaders SSV Jahn Regensburg. In this negative streak, the DSC also scored only one goal.

The negative results continue: the double relegated team – Arminia was relegated from the 1st in 2022 and from the 2nd in 2023 – has only won one of its last ten matches (2-0 on December 17, 2023).

It’s clear that with only two points separating them from the bottom of the table, fan dissatisfaction is growing – and so is the pressure on coach Mitch Kniat. After all, there is the threat of a freefall into the Regionalliga West – the third relegation in a row, a horror scenario!

Kniat, who left SC Verl for Bielefeld last summer because he expected better sporting prospects there – and now Verl, of all clubs, are in the promotion fight – is also under pressure.
