Dresden special train sold out – this is the red-and-white Bayern plan

There is currently great euphoria at Rot-Weiss Essen. The team is playing for promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga and the fans are hotter than ever.

Rot-Weiss Essen is currently ranked fifth in the third division. RWE is only two points away from the third place in the table, which guarantees two promotion matches against the third-last team of the second Bundesliga.

It’s clear that the euphoria surrounding Hafenstraße is huge. The team, led by coach Christoph Dabrowski, thrills the fans, who come to Hafenstraße in droves and are also very happy to follow the team around.

While the club from the Ruhr area has an average of 16,225 fans per game at Hafenstraße and only ranks behind Arminia Bielefeld (17,096) and Dynamo Dresden (27,941) in this category, the Essen fans are at the top of the away table. 2500 battle-weary supporters accompany the team on average to away games.

It’s a good thing that RWE still has nine away games out of the remaining 15.

The next trips are tough. First, there’s a double-header against Bayern Munich with 1860 Munich (Tuesday, February 6, 7 p.m.) and SSV Jahn Regensburg (Saturday, February 10, 2 p.m.), and in between, SSV Ulm (Saturday, February 17, 2 p.m.) will come to Hafenstraße, before the hot game in Dresden (Saturday, February 24, 2 p.m.) is on the program.

Keyword Dresden: The Fan and Support Department of Rot-Weiss Essen (FFA) has organized a special train for 720 fans for this game. Within just 72 hours, the FFA reported “sold out”. After all, a ticket for the return trip cost 99 euros.

In Munich and Regensburg, too, more than 1000 Essen fans will surely support the Dabrowski protégés.

They will travel by plane from Düsseldorf to Munich on Monday afternoon (February 5). “We fly to the 1860 game and then drive back with the team bus. But we won’t fly to Regensburg – we’ll drive there,” Christian Flüthmann, RWE sports director, told Forecasting.

Before the departure on Monday, there is still a press conference with Dabrowski on the agenda at 12 noon.
