After incidents in Hamburg: 96 boss Kind files complaint

The incidents at the soccer game HSV against 96 have consequences. Hannover’s boss Martin Kind wants to take action against banners in the 96 fan block.

After the incidents at the northern derby between Hamburger SV and Hannover 96, 96 boss Martin Kind will press charges because of the banners displayed in the Hannover fan block. “It is known that the Hamburg public prosecutor’s office is taking action. Martin Kind will also press charges himself,” the second division soccer team announced on Monday.

During the 4:3 win by the Lower Saxony team at HSV on Friday evening, three banners were displayed in the 96 fan block during the second half, showing the stylized portraits of leading figures of the possible strategic DFL partners CVC and Blackstone, as well as of 96 managing director Kind in a crosshairs. The game was then interrupted for more than 30 minutes.

In addition, Hannover announced that it would review and modify its security structures. It was not out of the question that parts of the modified security concept planned for the coming season would be implemented before the end of this season, according to the club statement. The club did not provide any further details.
