That’s what Osterhage and Schlotterbeck say before the “mammoth task” Bayern

Before the game VfL Bochum against FC Bayern Munich, Forecasting talked to Patrick Osterhage and Keven Schlotterbeck about the “mammoth task”.

On Sunday (February 18, 5:30 p.m.), VfL Bochum will host FC Bayern Munich at the Ruhr Stadium. As always, the starting position is clear. In an interview with Forecasting, Patrick Osterhage and Keven Schlotterbeck revealed what makes them feel positive despite this.

Patrick Osterhage and Keven Schlotterbeck on…

… Bayern after the defeats in Leverkusen and Rome

Osterhage: “Of course they’ve lost twice in the last two games, but they’re still one of the best teams in Germany. That’s why they’ll come to Bochum with a lot of frustration and anger in their stomachs and want to win. We’ll have to stand up to them.”

Schlotterbeck: “Bayern will always be Bayern. They’ve still had a good run so far. Of course, they were beaten in Leverkusen and lost in Rome. But Bayern will always be dangerous and can turn the game around in an instant. They have a lot of players who can think four or five steps ahead. It’s going to be a mammoth task.”…

what makes Bochum feel brave for Sunday

Osterhage: “I think we’ve come a long way since the start of the season and we showed against Stuttgart and for the first half an hour against Leverkusen that we can hold our own against teams like Bayern and cause them problems. That’s why I’m confident that, with the fans behind us at home, we can do the same against Bayern.”

Schlotterbeck: “You shouldn’t be scared shitless. It’s a game, there are three points at stake, it’s Bayern Munich and you look forward to it. We have to be brave, play hard and not hide, but take the duels and definitely try to win. So, we have to bring everything that has distinguished us in recent weeks. Especially in front of our home crowd, it’ll be a party on Sunday. Because one thing’s for sure: a lot would have to go right for us to get three points. But that’s obviously the goal and the direction, otherwise you shouldn’t even compete.”
