See you in the summer of 2030! New contract for this Eintracht Frankfurt pro

There’s a player who already has a current employment contract running until June 30, 2028, but in just a short time, this pro shot to prominence so quickly that he received a new contract.

Eintracht Frankfurt is very confident about a goalkeeper: Kaua Santos has received a new contract from the Bundesliga club.

The goalkeeper has prematurely extended his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until June 30, 2030.

The Brazilian came from Rio de Janeiro to Hesse in August 2023, where he was part of the team of goalkeepers around coach Jan Zimmermann from the start. In his first season at Eintracht, he played 13 games for the U21s of the Adlerträger in the Regionalliga Südwest.

In the current season, Santos, who has so far played two games for Brazil’s U20 national team, made his professional debut for Eintracht Frankfurt. On the third matchday of the Bundesliga, he replaced the injured captain Kevin Trapp in the second half of the away game against VfL Wolfsburg. The 21-year-old also kept Frankfurt’s goal in the five subsequent games in all competitions.

Eintracht sporting director Markus Krösche explains: “Kaua has developed well in recent months and we firmly believe in his potential. We want to work with him in the long term and are pleased that we were able to extend the contract until 2030.”

Goalkeeping coach Jan Zimmermann adds: “We have recently had a taste of Kaua’s capabilities. I look forward to continuing to work with him on his potential.”

“I’m very happy to be here and to have extended my contract early. I will continue to work hard and want to achieve a lot with Eintracht,” says Kaua Santos, who also recently played in the 3-3 draw against Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich professional Thomas Müller told pay-TV channel Sky: “That boy in goal was amazing. It’s unbelievable the saves he made.” The club’s management also saw this and promptly extended his contract until 2030.
