In a new episode of our talk show Inside VfL, we talk about the beer ban and the sporting development of VfL Bochum.
VfL Bochum are bottom of the Bundesliga and will face TSG Hoffenheim in their next competitive game. The team, coached by Peter Zeidler, also failed to score in a friendly against second division side 1. FC Cologne.
After seven games without a win, he now also has to worry about whether or not there will be a beer in the locker room after games.
Presenter Annalena Fedtke discusses this with radio reporter Günther Pohl and WAZ reporter Markus Rensinghoff in our new episode of “Inside VfL – the Stadtwerke Bochum talk show from WAZ and Radio Bochum”.
The three of them first look back on the test against 1. FC Köln. “I saw a lot of good things there,” says Pohl. “Moritz Kwarten was, and so was Moritz Broschinski.”
Shortly after the test, however, another topic dominated the discussion around VfL Bochum. It became public that coach Zeidler had banned the players from drinking beer in the dressing room after the game. At this point, Rensinghoff has a particular problem with the fact that this information has been made public. “Something like that doesn’t help. But it makes it clear that not everything is going well at VfL Bochum at the moment. The question is, who is the mole at VfL Bochum?”
