Emre Kilic tops the goalscorer list in the Kreisliga B in Essen. After 13 games, the Rot-Weiss Essen II striker has scored a whopping 34 goals.
The second team of the third division club Rot-Weiss Essen is racing from victory to victory in the Kreisliga B. 13 games and 13 wins are on the board. Promotion to the A-class is only a formality.
Emre Kilic also deserves credit for the team’s success. The newcomer, who joined in the summer of 2023, has scored 34 goals in his 13 appearances for RWE II so far. Before continuing his goal scoring streak in the Kreisliga B, RWE II goal machine Emre Kilic took part in the forecasting questionnaire.
And, he adds: “I hope that at the end of the season I’ll be ahead of my teammate Dominik Milaszewski, who has scored 28 goals, and that we’ll be promoted, of course. I don’t know yet whether I’ll stay with the club. It’s too early to say at this point.”
Emre Kilic, how would you complete the sentence:
My greatest strength is… finishing!
My biggest weakness is… heading.
In the dressing room… it’s very loud.
The best moment of my football career was… when I played for VfR Bottrop-Ebel. Samet Kanoglu also mentioned this in the forecasting questionnaire just recently. I scored 52 goals that season, which helped us get promoted.
The best goal of my career… those were long-range shots from about 30 meters. Those things are awesome and I’m really happy when they hit the net. But I don’t have the most beautiful goal – there were over 200 goals in senior soccer, so it was just too many (laughs).
I didn’t become a professional soccer player because… I was just too lazy.
The best thing about the Ruhr area is… the nice air (laughs).
