There was only one game in the Oberliga Westfalen on Sunday. TuS Bövinghausen were able to end a negative streak against SpVgg Vrede.
On the 16th matchday of the Oberliga Westfalen, TuS Bövinghausen only had to share the attention with SpVgg Vreden on Sunday. The remaining matches fell victim to the weather conditions and some were canceled early.
Dortmund initially did everything they could to justify this attention. After just under a quarter of an hour, it was Jeron El-Hazaimeh who put Bövinghausen in the lead (14”). The defender seemed to have taken a liking for scoring goals. Just seven minutes later, he scored the 2-0 (21′). It was already the fifth goal of the season for the 31-year-old.
Bövinghausen wanted to go into the break with a two-goal lead. Vreden had something against that and Leon Kondring (43rd) scored before the half-time whistle from referee Leonidas Exuzidis to make it 2-1.
But the team of coach Baris Özbek did not let that bother them. Shortly after the break, Marcus Piossek restored the old margin with the 3:1 goal (51st minute). This time Al-Hazaimeh prepared the goal.
This lead would not last until the end of the game. Maximilian Hinkelmann (70′) scored again to reduce the deficit for Vreden. After that, however, the result did not change.
TuS Bövinghausen were able to claim their first victory in four league games and are now in ninth place in the table.
Dortmund will be in action again next Friday. They then travel to SV Schermbeck (December 8, 7 p.m.). SVS recently defeated league leaders Sportfreunde Lotte 3-2. SpVgg Vreden host ASC 09 Dortmund (December 10, 2:30 p.m.).
