Good news for Rot-Weiss Essen: Lucas Brumme’s contract has been extended until June 30, 2025 by option.
The 2-1 defeat to Preußen Münster at least gives the fans of Rot-Weiss Essen a small reason to be happy in retrospect.
Because of the 22nd appearance in the current third division season, Lucas Brumme’s contract has been extended by a further year until June 30, 2025. This was announced by the Essen team on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old Brumme went down in the Prussia half shortly before half-time in the Westschlager in Münster and had to be treated by the RWE physios. He sustained an ankle contusion in a tackle with Jano ter Horst and had to be substituted at half-time. Sascha Voelcke came on for him. On Monday, the all-clear was given: the left-back is expected to rejoin team training this week. On Tuesday, his contract was extended. Good start to the week for RWE and Brumme.
Speaking of contracts: 15 employment contracts, including those of loan player Marvin Obuz and U19 talent Ahmed Etri, will expire at Hafenstraße on June 30, 2024. And, not to be forgotten: a new contract is also still being discussed with head coach Christoph Dabrowski.
