“World star with charisma” – FC Bayern hails king transfer Sadio Mané

He leaves a gaping hole at Liverpool: Sadio Mané signed his three-year contract with FC Bayern Munich this Wednesday. Jürgen Klopp’s club will receive a transfer fee of around 32 million euros in return, plus performance-related bonuses that could add up to nine million euros.

The 30-year-old national striker of the reigning African champions Senegal is being wept over more than one tear at Liverpool.

He is a stunningly effective player with an infectious personality and will rightly go down in club history as one of the best strikers. Liverpool FC thank him for everything and wish him all the best for the rest of his career, the club statement said. Along the way, his impressive list of titles collected in six years at Liverpool was released.

The new employer was even more euphoric. The Bayern bosses spoke of a “world star” and his “charisma”. With players like Mané, all the big goals are possible at FC Bayern.

The Bavarian message seems clear: with Senegal’s record goalscorer, another Champions League triumph should be within reach. Sané achieved this feat with Liverpool FC in 2019.

Another personnel matter is becoming more and more exciting as a result of the transfer: How will goal-scorer Robert Lewandowski react, who wants to force his move to FC Barcelona despite his contract running until 2023? Bayern international striker Serge Gnabry’s contract, which also runs until 2023, has also still not been extended. So the transfer period remains interesting.
