A few moments after the exclusive forecasting announcement, Wuppertaler SV officially introduced Ersan Parlatan as the new head coach at Hubertusallee.

“I am very much looking forward to the challenge as head coach at Wuppertaler SV. The club has an impressive tradition and clear ambitions to make its way into professional football. This coincides perfectly with my own goals. I would like to thank everyone involved for the trust they have placed in me,” said the football coach.

The 46-year-old native of Berlin with Turkish roots added with regard to the remaining round: “I am already looking forward to the start of training to get to know the players personally. In the last few weeks, I have been intensively involved with the team, watched many games and feel a huge sense of anticipation about advancing this ambitious and traditional club together with the players and management. Thank you again for the trust – I can’t wait to get started at Wuppertaler SV!”

It is said on the part of WSV that Parlatan was the preferred candidate from the outset. However, according to forecasting information, the club also negotiated with David Bergner (most recently Teutonia Ottensen) until the end.

We are happy to have found such an experienced coach who works in a very detailed and disciplined way. This is exactly what we were looking for. I would like to thank the club, Friedhelm Runge and everyone else involved in making this decision.
