On Wednesday (July 2, 2025), it was announced that the 2025/2026 3rd league season will kick off with a bang at the Hafenstraße stadium between Rot-Weiss Essen and TSV 1860 Munich. Kickoff is on Friday, August 1, at 7 p.m.
