The DFL has scheduled match days three to seven in the 2nd Bundesliga. Here is an overview of the dates for VfL Bochum and FC Schalke 04.
Fans of FC Schalke 04 and VfL Bochum can look forward to a derby under floodlights. The clash between the two local rivals on the third matchday of the second division season will be the top game on Saturday evening at 8:30 p.m. (August 23). This is according to the schedule for matchdays three to seven, which was published by the German Football League (DFL) on Thursday afternoon.
While the derby in Gelsenkirchen is Schalke’s only game on Saturday evening during this period, relegated VfL will be in action in two other top matches: on the sixth matchday in Nuremberg (September 20) and on the seventh matchday, when Fortuna Düsseldorf comes to Castroper Straße for the NRW derby (September 27).
Otherwise, VfL will play once on Friday evening and once on Saturday afternoon. Schalke will play twice on Saturday afternoon, once on Sunday afternoon and once on Friday.
It will be a while before the following matches are scheduled. The DFL has set the date for this as the 36th calendar week (September 1 to 5).
