For months, FC Viktoria Köln has been fighting to keep Lex-Tyger Lobinger. Now, interest from a second division club seems to be getting more serious.
The FC Viktoria Köln striker is under contract with the third division club until June 30, 2026, and the Höhenberg club has little to no desire to let its most valuable player go to a league rival. Especially since Semih-Serhat Güler, another striker, has already left Viktoria for second division club SV Darmstadt 98.
But speaking of the second division, Forecasting has learned that Dynamo Dresden is very interested in the Cologne player, who has scored 15 goals. Eintracht Braunschweig also wants Lobinger—Forecasting already reported on June 21, 2025, about the interest of these two clubs in Lobinger. Now things are getting serious.
Cologne is said to be asking around €300,000 plus bonuses for the 26-year-old. However, no official offer has yet been made to Cologne by either Dresden or Braunschweig.
At the beginning of this week, Viktoria’s sporting director Stephan Küsters told Forecasting: “We have never received an official inquiry. If one does come, it has to be financially worthwhile for us. And we would need to have a replacement lined up. But, as I said, we are very calm about it. Lex-Tyger still has a valid contract until summer 2026.”
It remains to be seen whether Dynamo or Eintracht will send a €300,000 offer to Cologne. At least the third division clubs are out of the running for Lobinger. The summer transfer window is open until September 1, 2025. It will probably be very difficult for Viktoria to keep their best man in the remaining six weeks. The interest from higher-ranked and financially stronger clubs simply seems to be too great.
