A case from the Southwest Regional League that leaves one stunned: Christian Hock, now former managing director of Kickers Offenbach, was subjected to nasty threats.
Things are in turmoil at Kickers Offenbach in the Southwest Regional League. Last year’s runners-up are currently only thirteenth and, given SGV Freiberg’s flawless performance, can probably already write off promotion.
This is naturally causing discontent on the Main. Managing director Christian Hock had been under criticism for some time. The issue is a risky transfer policy, as Offenbach started the season with five players who were not yet fully fit, meaning that any injuries would quickly hit the Kickers hard. However, some OFC fans have clearly gone too far. Hock has made public the insults and threats he has received online.
“Get out of here before someone else gets you, you asshole! Piss off, and fast, you dog,” they say, for example. And further: “Pack your things and piss off before things get uncomfortable, you asshole.”

In the summer of 2024, Hock was also beaten up in front of his apartment. At the time, he suspected that the attack might be related to soccer.
Now the club has also responded. On the one hand, by suspending Hock, taking into account the latest sporting developments.
“In an extraordinary meeting of the supervisory board of OFC GmbH, Christian Hock was suspended from his position as managing director with immediate effect. This decision is intended to set a new course for the future development and strategic orientation of the club. OFC would like to express its sincere thanks to Christian Hock for his commitment and trustful cooperation over the past years and wishes him all the best for his future, both personally and professionally. Florian Holzbrecher will continue to be responsible for commercial management,” the club announced.
Hans-Jürgen Boysen will take over responsibility for sporting matters on an interim basis. The club also had some harsh words for those who threatened Hock.
“At the same time, the club strongly condemns the personal hostility that Christian Hock has had to endure in recent weeks. The OFC stands for respect and solidarity – values that must apply to all members, employees, and officials of our club, even in difficult times.” Let’s hope that Hock can finally enjoy some peace and quiet now.
