MSV Duisburg has some exciting matches ahead. They will travel to Uerdingen for the cup and face 1860 Munich and RWE in the league. Full stadiums are guaranteed.
After the international break, Rot-Weiss Essen will face Viktoria Cologne, while MSV Duisburg will take on 1860 Munich. Both teams will be looking to gain momentum with three points ahead of the derby between MSV and RWE (Sunday, October 26, 7:30 p.m.).
One thing is already clear. Meiderich will go into the traditional duel as league leaders – with a four-point lead, MSV cannot be overtaken at the top of the table before the RWE game. It is also clear that it will be really crowded. The Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena can hold around 28,000 spectators, and the guest area is already sold out. All 3,945 available tickets have already been sold in Essen. In Duisburg, too, it is only a matter of time before the home section is sold out. This is especially true in view of the average attendance so far, with 21,227 spectators attending MSV home games on average. After the RWE game, the average will rise again, and MSV is likely to overtake Aachen in the spectator table and climb to second place.
Lower Rhine Cup: MSV must travel to KFC Uerdingen
Before the league continues, however, MSV Duisburg must still compete in the round of 16 of the Lower Rhine Cup. They will face Oberliga side KFC Uerdingen. This is also a derby, and MSV still has a score to settle here.
Two years ago, they were knocked out by KFC, losing 1-0 after extra time. 5,700 tickets are available to MSV fans for the round of 16 match.
MSV has announced that this allocation is available for the match at the Grotenburg Stadium at the following prices:
496 standing room tickets in Block S (15 euros/reduced price 10 euros)
5,204 seats in Blocks A to D (25 euros/reduced price 20 euros)
All tickets will be available online only from Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 7:05 p.m. And at short notice, a small contingent of so-called hard tickets (150 seats / full price) went on sale in the ZebraShop on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. The motto: First come, first served!
