SpVg Schonnebeck has secured three points again after four winless games in a row. Dirk Tönnies’ team won 2-1 (1-1) at home against VfL Viktoria Jüchen-Garzweiler. In a wild and entertaining first half with chances at both ends, the home side took the lead after 31 minutes. After a counterattack, Robin Brandner was set up and scored from close range to make it 1-0. However, the promoted team remained a threat and equalized: Lukas Lingk failed to follow up after a save, VfL played into the backfield, and Justin Francis slotted into the empty net to make it 1-1.
The visitors continued to play offensively after the break, but it was Schonnebeck who took the lead again: Niko Bosnjak scored the 2-1 (60th minute) after a cross from the right.
